A floral fragrance contains dominant floral notes that derive from flowers; these notes are essential oils extracted from the flowers' petals. Some popular floral notes used in perfumery include rose, neroli, jasmine, geranium, lavender, ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, violet and peony.
